Visual Impairment: the software applications and the web, usability issues and implications

In this report we suggested a description of the problems that the visually impaired face when using software and web-based applications, especially when this applications do not comply with certain protocols about the accessibility of programming.
In addition, some solutions have been proposed to customize the operating system, and we described the main features of the most used assistive tools.
Finally, we described the approaches made by the visually impaired with the use of technology and the need of support in the familiar and educational environment in order to obtain a positive result.
